Technické SEOStructured data tells machines what your content is about. We show which schema.org types have the biggest impact on SEO and on understanding by AI.
Structured data (schema.org) are machine-readable markers that explicitly describe what is on a page – an article, an author, a product, a rating, a question and answer. A human infers it from the layout; a machine without a hint just guesses. Structured data removes that guesswork and tells the search engine and AI directly: “this is an article, this is its author, this is the publication date”.
The recommended format is JSON-LD – a block separated from the HTML, so it does not interfere with the layout and is easy to maintain. Avoid the outdated in-HTML markup (microdata) without a reason. After deployment, verify the result in a structured-data tester so you catch errors before the search engine does.
The most important rule: structured data must match the visible content of the page. Marking five rating stars that appear nowhere on the page, or an FAQ the user cannot see, is against the rules and can lead to a penalty. Mark only what is really there and keep it up to date – an outdated date or a non-existent author does more harm than a missing schema.
